simplysonia @ 1:51pm: Lady, would you walk about with your friend?

WHERE ... do I EVEN ... begin? The first person to say WIGGLE is going to get hurt. Badly.

Well, besides pushing the "go with him to the golf course for his birthday" fic that I got the idea for when Tal first posted photos from this day OUT of the way -_- I swear to GAWD, Tal (part owner of DCMA and the guy who edits together DCMA TV, from where this animation comes from; LATEST EPISODE) just KNOWS when I need a dose or something. Cuz he also included lots more old footage, from the concert with Slash AND the next night in Vegas when he was onstage with Steel Panther, all pumping his arms and SO DAMN DIMPLY! WTF?? I don't know how I can love AND hate the SAME dude, but it's the same experience I'm starting to have with Tal, lmao. Actually, no, I just ♥ that dude for always putting a dose of a7x into the episodes. I told him though, with the last shot (cause of COURSE that is the LAST shot, it doesn't even fade to black, just abruptly ends), "You're KILLING ME, Smalls!" I'm sure he doesn't care, though, he's too busy Tweeting about hanging out with his friends and missing Vegas. He needs to just move the DCMA store there, already.

Anyways, hopefully everyone who celebrates has a Happy 4th of July/holiday weekend, and everyone who doesn't just has a great, happy & safe weekend.

fanabana @ 11:28pm: Had a great day out with my Mum again today!

We went to the National Gallery in the morning and in the afternoon went to see Waiting For Godot. It had Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Simon Callow in it! It was quite amusing, though I have to admit I was left a bit confused as to what it was actually all about. The basic plot is two old blokes waiting for a man called Godot, who neither of them actually knows, though he has told them to wait for him, and who doesn't show up. It's either meant to be religion or is about the futility of life or something like that I think.

We went book shopping too. My Mum tried to buy me a signed Sassoon we found in a shop down Cecil Court but it was very expensive so I wouldn't let her. I think I'll probably be seeing it again at Christmas time though! After our last trip out together a few weeks ago she went to the National Portrait Gallery website and looked up some pictures of him. She thinks this one is very handsome, lol.

I did let her buy me 84 Charing Cross Road though, and I got Maurice myself, plus I bought Tom Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which I will have a read of after he's finished with it.

I'm currently reading Emma which I love! I fancy Mr Knightley and I'm hoping he and Emma end up together but I'm only half way through at the moment. Anything could happen!

In the evening we went to Selfridges and wandered around looking at things we couldn't afford. One of the demonstrator people tried to get us to try a machine that made you lose weight, obviously having singled us out as fatties. He told me we could lose seven inches so I replied that, both of us being five foot nothing tall, my mother and I could hardly afford to lose seven inches haha! Stupid man didn't even realise I was taking the piss out of him until we both laughed in his face, he thought I was genuinely confused about it's purpose!

Now I must go to bed as I have a driving lesson at 8am tomorrow morning and it's already gone midnight!

I have a worm on my laptop -_- Made even MORE annoying by the fact I had JUST been gifted with a gorgeous new JUNE themed background/wallpaper for my lappie by [info]crazysynful and I barely got to enjoy it before the worm started making my life difficult. My brother has been working on trying to remove it, but I'm worried.

blacklabtx @ 11:02am: Star Trek Magazine Issue 19 - on sale June 23, 2009

Click the image above for the full size picture.

MEET THE CREW

The latest issue of Star Trek Magazine starts our exclusive account of the making of Star Trek, with the first batch of interviews from the key personnel involved in the creation of the film, including writers, director of photography and the costume designer.

FEATURES:

NERO AND AYEL

We interview the villains of the new movie in the latest issue, as Eric Bana explains why he became involved: "The script was incredibly smart, well written and well structured. I thought the writers had done an unbelievable job of paying enough service to many characters so succinctly but thoroughly."

Meanwhile, his lieutenant, Clifton Collins Jr remembers the disorienting feeling when he came to shoot his first scene on the Bridge of the Narada. "My heart started racing and I thought, 'This looks like that Star Trek thing... Wait a minute, this is Star Trek!"

ROBERTO ORCI & ALEX KURTZMAN

The writers and producers of Star Trek talk honestly and openly about the genesis of the movie, and some of the paths they decided not to take. Learn what role Nurse Chapel might have played, and why the description of Nero as a trucker works so well for them. Plus, an explanation as to what forces guide Kirk to meet Spock Prime, the thinking behind the Spock/Uhura romance, the original name for the U.S.S. Kelvin, and why Bones was so worried about going into space when traveling from Iowa to California.

COSTUME DESIGNER MICHAEL KAPLAN

Lavishly illustrated with exclusive costume designs from the film, the award winning designer explains the roots of the various different outfits seen in Star Trek from the 23rd Century casual wear sported by Jim Kirk to the faux fur that adorned Nero's costume. Learn which famous designers from the 1960s inspired the Vulcan Academy outfits and just how far away the Romulan costumes were made from the Paramount lot!
